The Digital Salsoteca, curated by Jose Luis

Venue:
The Tate Modern
Event Date:
Friday, June 29, 2018 - 18:00 to 23:00
Bankside, London SE1
Following its successful debut at the Tate Modern two years ago, London's most famous art museum brings back DJ Jose Luis, this time to create 'The Digital Salsoteca': an installation creating a journey through Latin music - from classic Salsa to the sounds of modern day Latin London - through music, film and art.

The event includes a debut screening of a special documentary commissioned by Jose Luis and directed by Manu Valcarce on what Latin music means to London's new Latin generation, a digital exhibition of some the finest vynil artwork Latin music has produced and a special DJ set with Jose Luis' own digital take on classic vinyl tracks. Also featuring live percussion and vocals by Baldo Verdu, Mike Klle and guests. Free event. Drinks available from the bar.

From 6pm-11pm @ Tate Modern, Bankside, SE1
