Feria De Londres brings the vibrant and lively celebrations of Andalusia to London!

Taking place under the iconic Tower Bridge, Feria De Londres is set to bring the vibrant and lively celebrations of Andalusia to the banks of the Thames this May Bank Holiday.

Inspired by the traditional festivities of Andalusia’s colourful spring fairs, such as the famous Feria de Abril in Seville and Feria the Jerez, Feria De Londres will be a weekend of delicious Spanish tapas, beer, wine and live entertainment, never seen before in the capital.

The first of its kind, Feria De Londres will be a unique and free event that invites Londoners and tourists alike to experience firsthand the warmth, vitality and excitement of some of Spain’s most famous celebrations.

Spanish Ferias began in the Middle Ages principally as livestock fairs, at which villagers would celebrate with plenty of feasting and Sherry drinking.

Many of these fairs slowly begun to introduce ‘casetas’, individually decorated tents where families, local businesses and associations would host special guests and invite the public in to offer them food, drink and entertainment.

In Spain, Feria attendees parade the streets in their finest traditional costumes, such as the flamboyant ‘traje corto’ (short jacket, tight trousers, boots and a hat) for men and ‘farajales’ or ‘trajes de flamenca’ (flamenco style dresses) for women.

Feria De Londres will be the perfect place to see these stunning outfits in person, as entertainers and stallholders walk around in regional dress.

Taking place over one of London’s busiest weekends, Feria De Londres will see crowds partying, dancing ‘sevillanas’, listening to live music, drinking sherry or rebujito, and eating delicious and authentic tapas.
