THE FEBRUARY REGGAETON RECAP | 2026

It might only be February, but Reggaeton is currently in one of its most successful months so far. Whether it’s Bad Bunny absolutely blowing audiences’ minds at the Super Bowl or the Premio Lo Nuestro Awards, Latin music has been receiving a whole lot of love. Speaking of, it's February, and the songs below are all about love, loss and jet skis - It's a banger. Every single track leading this list is a link-up and they’ve all made sure to give each other their own chance to shine. Let’s keep this energy throughout the rest of the year ¡Muchos besos!

Bad Gyal and Chencho Corleone – Choque

The Barca-baddie is back in full force, this time teaming up with the legendary Chencho Corleone. ‘Choque’ isn’t Alba’s only musical announcement as she also dropped the title, album cover and partial track list to her sophomore LP Más CaraThis video is quintessentially Más Cara with the star covered in jewellery and surrounded by it too with an impressive glistening chandelier.  Her music moniker might be “Bad” but she wants you to know that “Lencería Dolce, carita de ángel” while Corleone is happy either way “Te pongo demonia, eso se te nota”. Two artists, one pure reggaeton anthem.

Maluma and Kany García – 1+1

This track is toned-down, heartfelt and genuine. Guitars soundtrack Maluma and García who discuss how they’re handling a brand new love “Pero, por ti, mi amor / Ay, me meto en mil problemas”. They both agree “Resolvamos la ecuación” and so they do with the song’s title ‘1+1’.  There’s a lovely moment at the end of the track where Maluma chimes “Que yo te llevo pa' Medallo, y se te olvida / Con un besito, se te cura ese dolor” and García replies “Te sumo, te resto y multiplico / Y a ti te llevo para Puerto Rico”.

Erick Brian and Christopher Velez – Bajo Cero

Two previous CNCO members join forces once more, this time to sing about a failed relationship through lying. Trading verses back and forth, this duo admit “Me enamore de ti / O major dicho de la persona que creí que eras”, over staggered drums and bass plucks. They may have experienced heartbreak but their vocals remain soft and calm singing “Mejor pongo mis feelings bajo cero / Esto no me Vuelve a pasar de nuevo”. When seeing these two listed on a track next to each other, it’s guaranteed they will deliver – Forget ‘Bajo Cero’ this is fuego!

W Sound, Myke Towers and Ovy on the Drums – 5 Estrellas

Myke Towers’ notable vocals slowly fade in over a fragmented and almost-eery instrumental but as soon as the beat drops this track becomes addictive. Seeing W Sound in the song’s title instantly gets listeners thinking about Ovy on the Drums previous smash in this series ‘La Plena’. This Tower’s fronted single brings something new to the table, pausing the beats for a dramatic guitar strum before the Puerto Rican starts unexpectedly rapping bars like “Se dice que estoy alza'o / Porque me sale muy fácil y ello' se ven forza'o”. This link-up really is ‘5 Estrellas’.

Pedro Sampaio, Emilia, MC Meno K and Melody – Jetski Remix

This remix sees Emilia falling head over… jet ski, for a ‘brasilero exquisito’. The Brazilian in question is Pedro Sampaio who reassures the Argentinian that no one has to know what goes down, “Só quem vai ver sou eu e os golfinho”. The track is already a hit with Melody and MC Meno K’s additions but Emilia completes the equation. That ending builds from the original track and adds another memorable moment to the track, “Vou colocar, colocar, colocar / Encima del jet ski” is a crowd chant waiting to happen. Melody’s “PED-RO SAM-PAI-O” role call is also up there.

Bonus Track:

Bad Bunny Super Bowl halftime show:

Forget just one track, how about thirteen mashed up into an almost-14-minute-long performance played during an American football game? Reggaeton reached all new heights earlier this month as Bad Bunny became the first artist ever to perform a Super Bowl half-time show entirely in Spanish. In doing so, he catapulted his already iconic track ‘DtMF’ to new extremes, introducing a whole new audience to the world of reggaeton. Latin artists Karol G, Young Miko and Cardi B popped up in ‘La Casita’ and he even brought out Lady Gaga for a salsa rendition of ‘Die With A Smile’ - always expect the unexpected with Benito.
