Fuego is from a Dominican background with both his parents being Dominican, but he was born in Washington, DC and raised in Maryland. Real name Miguel Angel Duran Jr, music was part of his life from very young when he listened to his fathers instrumentals and listening to Spanish tropical music at home, which explains how his music has evolved into the mixture of rap and reggaeton, which is now very in style in the music industry, he also came to appreciate Latin musicians such as Hector Lavoe and Frankie Ruiz.

Fuego has been in the music game for over 11 years! How did it all begin? His first musical experience was being part of a band called 3men2 with his friends and brother, although this never catapulted, in 2004 he was booked to perform as an opening act for Daddy Yankee and Plan B in a Reggaeton concert, he performed his song "Aqui Conmigo" where he highly impressed Chencho with how the crowd knew every single word to his song.

After his successful opening act, the following year he was featured in Plan B's album El Draft, with his song "Me Gustan Todas". Fuego was featured on the succeeding compilations, El Documental II (2006) and Chosen Few III: The Movie (2008) as part of the Chosen Few artist roster. Fuego released "Que Buena Tu Ta" as his official solo debut single, following the Amor y Fuego mixtape and the "Super Estrella" promotional single with Omega.

"Que Buena Tu Ta" was first released in 2009, but it wasn't until the following year that it really blew and became one of the summer's biggest tropical hits. Meanwhile, "Que Buena Tu Ta" was topping the Billboard Tropical Songs chart, Fuego released 'La musica del Futuro' (2010) his first full-length album, and the follow-up single "Ya Te Olvide."

Although Fuego has been in the game for many years, he truly grew in the early 2010's, after this Fuego had a busy and successful few years after that, with nonstop touring all over the world alongside a steady stream of new hits. That is one thing about Fuego, he has a huge portofilio of music which you can see alone on his YouTube. He moved from D.C. to Miami after intensive travelling and released his "Mala Mia" single and video in 2013.

2015 was a hugely successful year and moment for him, as he signed Pitbull's Mr. 305 label and scored a viral success with "Cuanda Suena El Bling," the very well known Spanish remix of Drake's infamous track "Hotline Bling." It was his most popular spanish remake track, many people and his fans branding it even better than the original which was massive!

His second album, Fireboy Forever 2, was released in early 2016, this album included the smash hit featuring J Balvin, "35 Pa Las 12". He also began working with producer DVLP and the two collaborated on Libre: Fireboy Forever. The full-length album was Fuego's first for a big label, and it was released in the summer of 2018 on Universal Music Latino.

In 2019 he released the album (and our personal favorite) 'You're Welcome' which once again garnered a lot of success and included tracks las "11.25" and a feature song with the now famous Eladio Carrion for "Sin Parar".

His latest released album is called 'Supremo' which is a 7 track album, which has another song featuring Puerto Rican Eladio Carrion. He released 2 music video's for 2 of the songs on the album, "Elon" and "Purple Extract". Check out the latest videos below!
