1. 'Rompe Todo: The History Of Rock In Latin America'
Break it all, tells the story of Latin Rock, from its origins to nowadays. Not the most balanced in terms of country input but a great trip down memory lane with some very good insight on Argentinian and Mexican Rock. A very well thought political angle and some incredible footage makes this a must for fans of latino music in general.
2. Camarón Revolution
Arguably the greatest Flamenco singer to ever lived, This 6 part documentary series, tells the story of Camaron from humble childhood to international stardom and down to his death. An insight not only on the life of the singer but also the "Gitano" culture of the times.
3. 'Emicida: AmarElo — It's All For Yesterday' on
One of Brazil's best-known MC and activists Emicida goes deep into the rich history of black music in Brazil. The film sequences together footage of the rapper getting ready and then performing a series of concerts at the Teatro Municipal de São Paulo for the release of his album AmarElo in February 2020. Inspiring stuff.
4. 'Los Tigres del Norte at Folsom Prison'
Iconic norteño band Los Tigres del Norte, pay tribute to Johnny Cash , 50 years after his famous concert at the notorious Californian prison. Also the band try to do their bit for the overwhelming amount of latinos in the prison. Nosteno is not for everyone but totally worth watching just on the human side of the story, the music is a bonus!
5. Nasha Natasha
Whilst only midly famous in Latin American, the Uruguayan singer who started out in Argentine soap operas, Natalia Otero, became huge hit in Eastern Europe. This behind the scene is an attempt to unveil this mad phenomenon as the packs stadiums across Russia, showing that language is not a barrier when it comes to music and that, and Natalia's belief that when opportunities open up, you have to seize them.
6. 'Anitta: Made In Honorio'
She is the queen of Brazilian pop and Anitta is about to become and global sensation (if she isn't already). Another 6 part documentary, this is all about how pop music operates on a world scale and how the Brazilian superstar is handing business.
7. Alejandro Sanz: What I was what I am
Spanish heartthrob Alejandro Sanz, arguably the most successful Spanish singer/songwriter of the last 25 years tells us his story on 1.5 hours of footage of the very successful career. From Family members to best friends, Sanz opens up and let us know what has been like to be on top for so long.
8. Olé Olé Olé!: A Trip Across Latin America
The Rolling Stones, one of the biggest and most iconic bands ever let us in their Latin American Tour. The 4 mad Englishmen go from contort to country meeting even crazier people than them. They ended up in Habana, their first time ever there and what was supposed the be the opening of a new era for Cubans, which sadly did not happen.

Chilean singer Victor Jara was killed by the Pinochet Regime in 1973 when is was 40 years old. The the folk singer became a symbol of the his country struggle with it past. In this documentary, the examine and look for answers on who was responsible for his death and what he still means to his fellow countrymen.
10. Song Exploder: Lin-Manuel Miranda
Nuyorican artist Lin-Manuel Miranda goes into his creative process and how his award winning musical Hamilton was created. Part of the "Song Exploder" series, this is an interview based show but still manages to bring a lot of footage and insight. Short but powerful.
