La Clave Fest 2017
LatinoLife 's seciond festival kicked off with a Copa America. 10 schools representing different Latin American countries. Venezuelan singer song-writer Luzmira Zerpa, followed by Anglo-Uruguayan Alex Etchart. Royal Ballet dancer, Fernando Montaño, the first ever Colombian dancer to become principal at the Royal Ballet, had spent 6 weeks in a school Fernando created this unique ‘Foot-ba’ choreography, based on the moves of famous footballers, to inspire more boys to take up ballet. Meanwhile Raquel Greenberg, who had also gone into the loccal schools, to teach Tango performed. Iinside the Council Chamber in Hornsey Town Hall, we have films and talks going on all day…More music on the main stage with Juanita Euka, Time for a Samba extravaganza with Romero’s dancers, Then 30 drummers from Haze Samba kids (ages 8 to 14) take to the stage… Followed by Tribu samba drummers with the children of Rokesly primary school. Back inside the Hornsey Town Hall the dance classes begin…band headed by Ecuadorian lead singer Carlos Paul and Cuban Rapper then Rene Alvarez and his salsa band, …Inside the Committee Room, an older crowd enjoy Esnayder Cuartas’ fine Latin dining experience. Now for the headline act on the main stage outside…Grupo Lokito. And the crowd dance into the evening… And the evening finishes with 2 after parties inside the Town hall
