THE JUNE REGGAETON RECAP | 2026

The UK has felt tremendously hotter than usual and the real reason why might be because Benito is in town. La Casita has made its way to London, popping up at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for two nights as part of Bad Bunny’s ‘Debí Tirar Más Fotos’ world tour. As always, there’s a variety of songs, but this could be one of the most diverse, spanning Latin pop, tropipop, rave/EDM and Reggaeton to round it all up. And, in non-music related news, Portugal and Colombia went head-to-head and drew in the World Cup. July, you have a lot to live up to.

THE JUNE REGGAETON RECAP | 2026

Madonna & Feid – Read My Lips

Almost 40 years since ‘La Isla Bonita’ and seven years since Maluma link-up ‘Medellín’, Madonna has returned with another Latin pop effort, this time for the World Cup. The Queen of Pop has chosen to collaborate with Feid on ‘Read My Lips’, a track which unravels the story of a relationship with a compulsive liar. The bilingual number features lots of back-and-forth adlibs instructing each other to “Shut your mouth”. A guitar loop underlays lines like “Vos creés tu verdad, hágale, ome” and “Dímelo a la cara” as this Latin-pop fusion sees production credits from key figures Stuart Price and Tainy.

Ana Mena & Lola Indigo – Pa Ti Toa <3

Spanish singer Ana Mena has gifted us another blonde-brunette duet that comes just one year on from the phenomenal ‘Carita Triste’ with Emilia. While the song with the Argentinian-pop princess favours EDM, the soundscape of this new release ‘Pa Ti Toa’ mixes contemporary pop and merengue. Props to Mena, Indigo and crew for giving the song a runtime of over three and a half minutes, this song’s structure is top tier. Make sure to check out the music video and prepare to be obsessed with its choreography, back-and-forth outfit switching and the two artists embracing their diva personas.

Major Lazer & Tokischa – Papi

If this song could be described in four words, it would be: fast-paced rave track. When listening to an artist as versatile as Tokischa it’s always rewarding as you never know what genre you’re going to get hit with. Add Major Lazer to the mix and you get the Dominican artist chanting “Dame papi” over an intense dance instrumental while singing in Spanglish.  As the EDM group prepare for an array of festivals this summer, this newest collaboration will definitely get included in their sets and shows. Tokischa can never be boxed into one lane ¡Que increible!

Rvssian, Sech & Lojay – Tattuu

There’s no denying that Rvssian is on a generational run. Alongside his distinctive production, he’s also managed to attract and work with some of music’s biggest names. This year alone he’s collaborated with MOLIY, Vybz Kartel and Shenseea (Twice!). Rvssian’s newest venture sees him bringing together artists from the Reggaeton world, Sech, and Afrobeats too, Lojay. This mellow tropipop melody details a breakup where Sech shares a sigh of relief” Ando archivándole los texto / Gracias a Dio' no me hice el tattoo”. Lojay instead wants to offer protection still declaring, “I'll be your bodyguard, I'll cover, cover you”.

Bonus Track:

Xavi & De La Rose – Pensando En Ti

Hearing that “Full Harmony” producer tagright at the beginning confirmed this track would be impressive, then teaming up with De La Rose just cemented this. Guitars and horns channel the Regional Mexican genre that Xavi is ever so familiar with, while the dembow rhythm works in De La Rose’s favour, it’s the perfect crossover. The two trade longing lyrics like “Perreando con otras por aquí / Pero mentalmente en tu cama”, it’s a light-hearted single. ‘Pensando En Ti’ has its own video which acts like a love letter to PR as Xavi professes his love while sat on stairs painted with the Puerto Rican flag and a Bad Bunny mural appears too.
