Julia Ruiz Fernández is one of those rare dancers who traverses the world of Latin dance and ballet. Born in Málaga, Spain, she graduated in Contemporary dance and Ballet before training with the prestigious Alicia Alonso company. In 2014 and 2015 Julia held the titles of European Champion in Tango, Salsa, Rock and Roll, Waltz, and Pasodoble. Moving to London in 2016, Julia held the title of UK Bachata champion, representing the UK in international dance competitions and also began working at the Royal Opera House, dancing in the production of La Traviata and Swan Lake. Last year Julia toured across the country with Strictly Come Dancing UK “Dance to the Music” and Raymond Gubbay “Piano Legends Live tour”. She is currently doing her West End debut as cast of the Broadway Musical 'On Your Feet', about the life of Gloria and Emilio Estefan. A busy lady indeed!
