Latino Restaurants Serving Takeaway During Lockdown

It is safe to say that times are crazy. Sheltering in place and self-quarantining are just a couple of the new guidelines we all have to abide by due to an unexpected worldwide pandemic. For us Latinos who aren’t blessed with cooking skills that would make our ‘abuelas’ proud, closed restaurants have broken our hearts and given us hungry stomachs. But fear no more! Latino Life has compiled a list of some Latino restaurants in London that are still serving takeaway.

El Inca Plebeyo

El Inca Plebeyo is a modern take on traditional Ecuadorian dishes expertly developed by Chef Jorge Pachecho. When the country isn’t on lockdown, it is a great place to experience Ecuadorian culture not only through food but also through good music and a welcoming atmosphere.

Jalisco

This restaurant doesn’t only serve traditional Mexican cuisine, it offers a menu of Venezuelan and regional Central American classics, infused with traditional ingredients and family recipes that are a must-have. Jalisco is not only doing takeaway but also working with Deliveroo to make sure we all get our cravings satisfied.

Botellón Latino de Fabián

Located in North London, this Colombian restaurant has made sure that all its Facebook and Instagram followers crave their food with mouthwatering photos and having their menu easily available for those who wish to order takeaway. If what you desire is a 'bandeja paisa,' 'a cazuela de mariscos,' or an empanada, look no further! If you have any questions or concerns, you can contact them via social media.

Guanabana Restaurant

Guanabana Restaurant has been around since 2007 and was one of the first Latin Caribbean restaurants in London. They serve goods from Jamaica to Argentina and everywhere in-between, offering a wide range of grub for all taste buds. Unfortunately, even though they are open and offering takeaway meals, they are not serving their full menu. It would be essential to give them a call to know what it’s available before making the drive.

Brazilian Gourmet

At this restaurant, you can find unforgettable Brazilian dishes at the touch of a button as they are available through Uber Eats. Their menu has a wide variety of entrees, main courses, and - of course- desserts!

Crudo Cevicheria

If you all you have been eating is junk food, it’s time for you to try Crudo Cevicheria, London’s first build-your-own Ceviche bowl restaurant. It provides a fast, healthy, and affordable food to Londoners by letting you choose from a selection of signature ceviches or design your own bowl to takeaway.

It is important to note that these restaurants, their menu availability, and hours may fluctuate during this pandemic, and it’s best to contact them before visiting. Also, checking applications like Uber Eats and Deliveroo can facilitate your search for Latino food as restaurants are opening their kitchens and serving the public little by little with no anticipation. Regardless, for us hungry Latinos who yearn for some flavor, there is a light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to satisfying our food wishes.
