Born in Montería Córdoba, Manuel Turizo grew up under the influence of artists such as Kaleth Morales, Bruno Mars and Latin- urban sensations Nicky Jam and Andrés Cepeda.

He began to educate his voice at 11 years old, and soon began writing songs and creating the style he owns today. His brother, Julian, was always right beside him, his best partner in business and on stage. Julián plays the Ukulele live and, behind the stage, he’s been the “mastermind” behind every musical hit they’ve created.

Their father was into the breeding Business, but carried the love for music in his heart and watched his own unaccomplished dream through Manuel and Julián.  Their mother is the real heart of this “team” and both brothers #1 fan. But the real catapult came when producers Santiago Mesa (Sensei) and Carlos Kozio (K.Z.O) invested their best efforts into the Turizo melodies and lyrics which transformed both of these artists into the urban music references they are today.

Manuel Turizo´s musical career took off in 2018 after the release of the single "Culpables", using his social media platforms for an effective advertising campaign. Since then he’s never stopped gaining followers, fans, and the respect of a whole industry.

Manuel´s powerful voice and Julian´s enchanting Ukulele technique filled an empty space in the Latin- Urban genre. Romantic lyrics, a very charming Colombian accent, a young innocence, and their simple-organic sound, quickly conquered the top of the Latin music industry.

Selling out concerts all around Latin America and the United States; today, his first single has more than 525 million visits on YouTube  and he received a double-platinum award for his single “Esperándote”, and diamond+ double platinum+ and a gold award for “Una lady como tú”, the same song also achieved 4 platinum awards by Sony Music Spain.

He also received a quadruple platinum award for his collaboration with Piso 21 “Déjala que vuelva”, and the song "Bésame” with the Puerto Rican Valentino, reached a platinum award in Mexico and Colombia.

His official YouTube channel counts more than 2.9 billion views. The single “Vaina loca” a featuring with urban superstar Ozuna, won a place in YouTube´s global Top 10 as one of the most searched videos on the platform. And, last but not least, his Spotify account has more than 2.8 million followers.

In 2018 Manuel Turizo was nominated to the Latin American Music Awards in the category: New Artist of the Year, competing in a tight "vote battle" with Raymix, Bad Bunny and Sebastian Yatra. He was also nominated for Premios Juventud 2019, in the categories: Ritmo en la Regadera (singing in the shower) with "Desconocido", Ft. Mau y Ricky y Camilo, Ritmo en la Regadera (singing in the shower) with "Sola” and This Is "BTS" with "Behind the Scenes Desconocidos ", Ft Mau y Ricky and Camilo.

In 2019 Manuel and Julian Turizo first album will be released. ADN, it’s the name of their very first musical project recorded in the city of Medellin, Colombia, under the roof of La Industria INC. A compilation of 15 songs, l featuring with big Latin- Urban stars such as Ozuna and Nicky Jam, the musical legacy of Manuel Turizo is just beginning.

Manuel Turizo will be performing an exclusive and intimate concert for guests at The LUKAS Gala Ceremony on Wednesday 6 November at The Bloomsbury Ballroom. Tickets here
