Ronald Rafael Tejeda Santos and Jean Carlos Ferreira Suero, artistically known as Gigolo and La Exce formed the reggaeton, trap and urban music duo from San Juan, Puerto Rico, famous for the singles such as "Nasty," collaborations with artists like Bad Bunny or Arcangel and their particular style within the urban genre.

Both artists had been friends since high school and even participated as in an urban music competition called “Reggaetón con Flow”. It is from this competition that their names are born. Gigolo comes from the name he had in his previous duet Ronal, which he had by name: Ronal & Tassi “Los Gigolos”. When he entered the competition he could only participate as a soloist, he tried to use his name Ronald, but people already knew him as Gigolo, so he decided to choose this pseudonym. La Exce was created by Jean Carlos from the derivative “La Excelencia”.

The inspiration duo of urban music Gigolo and La Exce are producers and writers of the single “Nasty”, whose success opened the doors to them internationally, and became one of the most popular songs within the Latin trap movement in Puerto Rico during  2015. Its popularity drew the attention of artists of the level of Farruko's stature, who participated in the remix of the famous song “Nasty” along with prominent artists.

Like most urban singers, they began by making songs suitable for the street style with themes that, due to their content, were not suitable for the main popular radio stations. After two years of delivering free music to their communities such as La Perla in San Juan, Puerto Rico, to touring the country's main nightclubs, this duo presented a cleaner and more romantic side in 2017 and 2018 with the theme "Te Robo", which was played a lot on the local radio.

In the same way, Gigolo and La Exce supported their proposal by pointing out that although they are mostly known for the trap, they want to show that they can also produce commercial music with sensual lyrics. Its latest single  "Sativa" released four weeks ago has gained more than seven million views.
