Spotlight on...Cazzu

Cazzu has been dubbed the Queen of Argentine Trap, bringing to the forefront the trap movement in Argentina alongside other artists.She is one of the few women in the male-dominated trap scene.

Rapper and singer Cazzu made a name for herself in her country Argentina with her provocative anthems of female empowerment and promoted the country's Latin Trap scene with fellow artists like Khea and Bad Bunny on the single "Loca" and her own 2020 EP, Bonus Trap.

Born in Ledesma, Argentina, Julieta Cazzucheli grew up influenced by her musician father but studied cinematography and graphic design before starting as a cumbia singer. She soon found herself attracted by the country's urban scene and embraced a mix of Latin and R&B on her debut album, 2017's Maldades. The following year, Cazzu issued several singles and collaborations with artists such as Negro Fino, Lowlight, and Dellafuente, grounding herself further in the trap scene.

She’s a self-proclaimed emo girl who traps about love, heartbreak and women empowerment. In 2018 the singer released the single C14TORCE II ", in which she achieved wide recognition and positioned herself on different digital charts. The video was released on Valentine's Day with a unique message that referred to her feelings.

By that same time he released several singles that allowed her to gain popularity in the urban music scene, they were the following:  "Mucha Data", "brujería", "Vistos a las 00:00", "Ya no quiero", "La clase", "Nada", "Fuego", "Penas y problemas" y "Mentiste".

By 2019 she had fully embraced reggaetón, hip-hop, and trap with the release of her sophomore album, Error 93. The effort saw her propelled as one of the leading artists of urban music in Argentina that highlights inequality and pushes her message of female empowerment on her platforms. The following year saw her teaming up with the likes of Tainy and Sean Paul on the single "Lento,' while also issuing the EP Bonus Trap.
