UK Latino Music Producers

With the UK Latin urban music scene boiling over into the mainstream, a generation of talented Latino producers are rising to the surface. Drawing on their diverse Latin American roots, London influences, and the talent and hunger to make a name for themselves in the music industry, the following DJ producers are quickly making a name for themselves and definitely worth keeping an eye on.

Felipe Arevalo

Colombian-born Arevalo is already a Latin Grammy nominated music producer, as well as sound engineer with extensive experience in record label management and music publishing. Felipe worked alongside West One Music Group in the creation of over 60 albums, ranging well over 600 tracks he produced and mixed. In 2023 Felipe embarks on a road journey through South America, to collaborate with local communities in developing of their own music libraries and is also working with newly founded Latin London label Candela Records to produce emergent talent fusing Latin rhythms and urban London sounds.

Dukus

Award-winning Colombian musician producer, songwriter, sound engineer and musician Dukus grew up in South London, learning classical piano from the age of three while his mother sang in church and played the guitar. Salsa and latin music infused his childhood, and he would develop a love for reggaetón and bachata as well as being immersed in the sounds of London. Dukus has collaborated with Craig David, Ed Sheeran, Central Cee, Fredo, Knucks, SteffLondon, Millionz, Giggs and Stormzy,  aswell as dancehall royalty Popcaan and Cream of the Crop and afrobeat artists Wiz Kid, Mr Eazi and Eugy. His accolades include 3 UK chart top 10 albums as well as a MOBO win for best album with Knucks in 2022. His own tracks releases include ‘Me Enamoro’ (with Guerrero),  ‘Talking Spanish’ and Bambi

 

Rene 2FVDED

Rene is one half of the production duo 2fvded. Born in Medellin and raised in North West London, he has produced and engineered records for Polo G, Chance the rapper, J.I, AJ Tracey, Tion Wayne, Ms Banks, Popcaan, Wretch 32, SteffLondon and Kranium. “Everyday I’m hearing something new that’s inspiring me,” says Rene. “It really is a privilege to be here in the UK making music. My parents made a lot of sacrifices for us to be here so I don’t take any opportunities for granted. This gives me a different perspective every time I approach a session or opportunity. My Latin heritage has a huge influence in my sound and how I approach my production.”

Esco

Esco is a young up-and-coming sound engineer and producer. Born in Camden to Jamaican and Colombian parents he has absorbed two musical cultures in a very London way. After being heavily involved in gangs as a teenager which culminated in time in juvenile detention, Esco turned his life around by teaching himself music production. "Music saved me" he says. Having started at Tappy Scope recording studios as an engineer, Esco has now produced tracks for Sachellys, Davincho, Angelo flow, J Dogg and is now been hired by Candela Records, where he spends most of the time in the studio making beats. Fluent in both English and Spanish, he is smart, charismatic and driven. We think big things lie ahead for this ambitious young Latin Londoner.

D Zeus

Born in Cali, D Zeus came to South London as a baby. Following his older brother Alvarez pave the way for urban Latin music in the UK, as a teenager D Zeus began to co-manage one of London’s first Latino rap collective by the name of BERD. Learning from being around many different types of artists, producers and creatives in the industry from Reggaeton stars like Bad Bunny to Hip Hop icons like NBA Youngboy, he learnt his trade and has now produced tracks for European Drill pioneers Patron970, Kg970, Yanko aswell as Nba youngboy’s soon to be released single.

DelaKwiz

Delakwiz started making music when he was 13 years old, having absorbed different genres from a young age. His dad was involved in the music industry, which lead to his skills and knowledge in music. He attended Music school then later graduated from Westminister University. He is heavily inspired by Timberland, Swizz beatz, David Guetta, Daddy Yankee, Ryan Leslie and has produced music for Angelo Flow, JDogg, Ame, Alesis among others.

Ramoss

DJ  producer Ramoss from Colombia living in London who has started making a name for himself in the underground tech house scene. As a Reggaeton DJ, Ramoss’ particular style when mixing during his sets have graced Hii Ibiza, Fabric, Studio 338 and Egg aswell as world famous BPM festival, Miami in 2021 and BPM Costa Rica 2023. As a producer, his distintive flair has been noticed by Marco Carola, Paco Osuna, Jesse Calosso and Mason Collective, whilst his own clubnight Barbaro, which has also quickly become a very popular night in the tech house scene in London.

C Fuego

C Fuego

British Colombian DJ/Engineer/Producer, born in Islington North London, grew up surrounded by the salsa and reggaeton gems that he still plays to this day! As a DJ he has had the opportunity to open up concerts for some of the biggest reggaeton artists such as Bad Bunny, Arcangel, Karol G, Ñejo, Cris MJ before graduating from university with a Audio Engineer degree. Now he has a recording studio based in North London called Forza Studios working alongside the Forza team (DJ Gordo, Clau Clau and Dj Kaia Pro). In May 2022 he produced Triguisar with three top UK artists Kiko, Niño Divino and Racks - a track fusing funk, trap and hip hop with a London twist.

JP El Genialista

El Genialista was born in Cali Colombia and came to London at the age of 10 where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering. As a producer El Genialist worked extensively with the duo Ando y Mello, producing most of their songs. This led to exciting collaborations with Ozuna's producer at the time, working on a track called '100toX100to', featuring Guerrero, Mello 'La Voz', Mike Kalle, Valenciz, and JayP & Olimac. He is now working with many UK up and coming Latin artists including Amber Donoso, Tatto RD, Nicole Silva, Angelo Flow, Faqundo Gonzalez, Chriss Ross, D Valle, and Mardeybor. El Genialista also extablished  Lab Files (Learn Aspire Become), a semi-pro studio that serves as a hub for Latin artists in London to develop and create top-quality music.

Luigi  Sanchez

Luigi has been one of London’s most recognised reggaetón DJs for years, with residencies at the capitals most successful Latin clubs; I Love Reggateon, reggaetón Latino, Reggaetón Party and La Bomba. With his music Luigi has toured all around the country, Europe and South America. As a producer Luigi has worked with Smirding, Ando & Mello, Briann, Tian’C, Jeanine Bella and has remixed tracks by Justin Quiles, Ryan Castro, J Alvarez, Dalex and Feid. He is currently working on a new EP “The Prodigies” aswell as on soundtracks for Netflix and British National Channels.
